The Importance Of A Retirement Job
Something that many people worry about when it comes to their retirement is the fact that they probably won't have enough money to fully retire. The reason why that is such a problem is that most people don't look for a retirement job, instead they keep working the job that they were at prior to retiring. If you plan on retiring then retire and don't look back. It will be much harder for you to retire and keep worrying about money than it would if you just worked a simple retirement job while taking it easy.
The reason a retirement job is so important is because most people won't have enough money to fully retire for the amount of time they plan. If you have a million dollars in the bank and that is what you plan to retire on then I want to make sure you understand something, a million dollars is not that much and will quickly disappear. You need to have some income coming in each month in order to ensure that your retirement savings doesn't vanish at some point in the future.
Lets get down into the numbers and why it is imperative that you work at least part time. When I say part time and retired that only means about 15 hours per week. If you wanted to make $1000 you would need about $245,000 in a bank account in order to make that much. Since you would easily be able to buy a house and rent it out for more than that I want to talk to you about what you can do for a retirement job. There are many things that you can do for instance renting out property, working a part time job at a store, blogging, consulting, and even financial advising.

All the ideas above have their perks but when I think about things that you could do in order to make $1000 after retirement I think about just two things. The two things that jump out at me are consulting and renting out property. If you have money to buy a rental property then I suggest you do that because that will be a great source of income for a while and then once the property values increase you could sell your investment property for a huge gain. Doesn't that sound like a great idea?
The other thing is consulting and I know you probably don't think of yourself as much of a consultant but trust me you will be. The reason you are a consultant is because you are going through your own retirement and people like to know what you did and are doing to make it. If you are somewhat decent at talking with individuals then you can easily tell them what to expect once they reach retirement age and what they will need to know that most people won't tell them. Everyone is going to retire at some point in their life, the only different they have is that some will retire and settle down and the others will retire and keep struggle to get by.
